Looking for car parking in Cronulla?

Do I have to pay for parking in Cronulla?   NO!  There’s plenty of free parking in Cronulla and around its famous beaches. Here are our favourite spots to park.  It can get busy in the Summer but we always manage to find something somewhere 🙂

Beach side parking

Drive up, park, and head straight to the beach along Mitchell Road – you’re only meters away from Wanda’s golden beach and thrilling surf.

The loop around Wanda Surf Life Saving Club includes Murdock Street and Marine Esplanade – both giving more free parking.  Carry along Mitchell Road into Cronulla town and you head towards Elouera Beach.

Also check out the small car park at the junction of Mitchell Road and Princes Street – but note that the gates do shut normally between 10pm and 4.30am – check the signs to be certain.  Princes Street provides on-street parking for Elouera Beach running into North Cronulla Beach, leading to the car park next to North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club.

There is a small beach side car park along Gerrale Street at Cronulla Park, often busy because it’s so convenient for the little ones and oldies who want to pic-nic in the park or make use of South Cronulla Beach.

South of Cronulla there is parking along Ewos Parade for Shelly Park continuing South for Oak Park Beach including Jibbon Street.  But please remember to respect the local residents when parking in these areas.

If you’re heading for Darook Park and its beach then you really only have the local residential streets as your parking option.

For those of you visiting Gunnamatta Park and the gentle waves of Gunnamatta Bay then the closest parking is along Nicholsons Parade – remember to reverse park here.
