Wanda Beach and Don Lucas Reserve
The furthest North of Cronulla’s beaches is Wanda Beach, great for surfers and sand-lovers alike. Due to the fact that it’s a little further out than some of Sydney’s other beaches, Wanda beach is often a bit quieter, and ideal for families. Also a firm favourite with Shire locals looking to avoid visitors to Cronulla.
Above the beach you’ll find Don Lucas Reserve – a fantastic grassed open area – great for letting the kids get rid of some energy on a wide range of play equipment – getting yourself fit on the gym pieces (several bootcamps take place here), flying a kite with on shore breezes. We also think it’s a great place for the little ones to learn to ride a bike with a mini road/running circuit winding around the play area and grassed areas should they take a tumble!
