Our top three:
If you’re looking for cocktails to suit a wide array of tastebuds, you can’t skip past Alphabet St’s extensive cocktail list. This Thai inspired eatery boasts a varied selection of cocktails – and we can guarantee if you mention this restaurant to any local you will hear rave reviews on their famous Alphabet Apple Martinis. Other patron favourites are the Chilli Coconut Margarita, and the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini.
The vibe is similar to the likes of a city South-East Asian bar. Make sure you book a table as you can be sure this lively bar will be buzzing with happy customers.

The Blind Bear
If a bar with ambience is more your style, a visit to The Blind Bear will greet you with arguably some of the best cocktails (and bartenders) in the area. The technical skill of the bar-staff and the rustic environment is perfectly complemented by the dim Tungsten lights, and the woody tones of both the interior and the selection of over 100 whiskeys that are stocked in this bar.
The Blind Bear staff are happy to oblige with any of the classic cocktail requests, given the freedom to express their own creative flair, but if you’re willing to try some of their house specialties you won’t be disappointed. Reach for the Clover Club, a drink made from gin, lemon and housemade raspberry puree. Craft beers and a global collect of whiskey will suit those looking for an alternative to cocktails.
28 Cronulla Street, Cronulla
Next up is Next Door. Next Door is the younger sibling to its flagship restaurant Sea Level, situated right by the ocean at North Cronulla Beach. Next Door’s cocktail menu changes with the seasons to keep the palates excited, and the majority of orders on busy Friday and Saturday nights are their famed cocktails so you can be certain that they are packed with flavour and are a coveted local favourite. Although a lunchtime cocktail accompanied by the ocean breeze and friendly chatter is an opportunity that can never be passed by.
Coming into Summer, they run Sunday sessions which includes live music, sunshine, ocean-views and a new cocktail special every single week. As for the regular cocktails, the Urkel is a chambord and vodka based drink that turns heads, and the Charlene, a sweet passionfruit and lime cocktail that is incredibly popular.
