Save our Seas Workshop for World Ocean Day

June 6 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm AEST

Cronulla Save our Seas event

An amazing opportunity to hear Sutherland Shire Environmental Citizen of Year 2023 and World Ocean Day Youth Advisory Council Member, Kal Glanznig, present his interactive workshop focusing on the threats facing the ocean, what’s being done to remedy this and how you can help.

Kal will be diving into the three major threats facing the global ocean, which include plastic, climate change (warming and acidification) and exploitation (overfishing and oil/gas/mineral exploitation), as well as how these issues affect waterways in the Sutherland Shire.

There will be plenty of time to ask any simmering questions you may have throughout the workshop, so we can work together to save our seas!

While we welcome you to the library, please be aware of the following:

• Bookings are required
• Each person needs a ticket
• Please be ready to show your ticket – either show us on your phone or print your ticket
• Staff are here to help, not to be hurt. Aggressive and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated
• If you feel unwell, please stay home
